By building your models to the CheckMate standard, you’ll be able to charge higher prices for your work, gain a boost in our search results for your work and experience fewer returns as customers will know exactly what they are buying from you. But more than that, you’ll always be aware of the latest requirements professional 3D users have in order to buy content, and you should never have to worry about building content that can’t be used within a professional pipeline.
Moreover, models built to the CheckMate standard are required in order for you to participate in other opportunities including PixelSquid, as CheckMate allows for quick conversion and integration with these exciting new opportunities.
The CheckMate Specification
Currently, TurboSquid offers two different levels of CheckMate certification: Pro and Lite.
CheckMate Pro 3D models represent the highest quality level available within the 3D industry and certification here covers all aspects of model topology, naming, scene organization and rendering. This is what many of our professional customers purchase and is our recommended path. If you can learn to produce CheckMate Pro quality models, a lot of additional opportunities to leverage your model exist through the Squid.io platform to make you even more money.CheckMate Pro ChecklistCheckMate Pro Specification
CheckMate Lite 3D models represent our baseline of certification in that they open as expected (without any errors or missing files), and render within a customer’s native application to look identical to the images you provided when you published the model. It is recommended that you use this certification only as a stepping stone to get to the CheckMate Pro standard.CheckMate Lite ChecklistCheckMate Lite Specification
